Button's Blog

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog where you can find out about all the cool things that have happened to me. I will tell you about all of my adventures and some of the things the humans that I live with get up to.

There's my human mom, my 'food fairy'. I know I'll always get something good when she's about. There's my human dad; he's a bit of a grump at times, but always good for a game of football (but he's no David Beckham). There's nan who sometimes comes to visit and doggy sit and the two half pint humans who come and stay and play with me, when they're not doing homework.

I will also be telling you about all sorts of interesting and useful stuff that I have learnt about; including dog food recipes and some of the special jobs that dogs do.

I hang my head in shame...it's been too long...

A merry Christmas to all my friends out there and sincere apologies for not posting earlier.
I know it's going to sound like I'm making excuses, but things have been a bit difficult this year. Don't get me wrong, there have been some high points; like my trip to Scotland and hunting for Nessy. Sadly I only found a group of kids canoeing as part of their D of E...but when you rely on others to submit your posts for you, good intentions can go out the window.

There's been a lot of sadness this year due to the ill health and sad loss of my grand dad Webster. Everyone at St Giles Hospice, Lichfield were great and are to be comm
ended on their care and sensitivity.

my food fairy has been looking after me as usual. I have to admit I have been taking liberties ( I stole a dumpling from the work top before it went into the stew). They have made me pay for it though by posing for the family Christmas card...AGAIN...as you can see from the photo below.

Sorry this is so short, but hope to be back to you with some good news soon.

Hope Your New Year Has Got Off to a Great Start

Hi Everyone,

Where does the time go? I can barely believe we are almost at the end of January, it seems like only yesterday we were all gearing up for Christmas.

I had a great time over the Festive Season, with loads of presents and games and plenty of visitors to sniff as well as lots of food. I didn't know which way to turn - life was just one treat after another. I did however manage to do myself a bit of a mischief chasing a balloon and I injured my paw. I felt really sorry for myself for a couple of days, but my friendy vet soon put me right again and it wasn't long before I was chasing my tail and running around the garden.

It's just as well my paw healed quickly because I would have missed being able to play in the snow and demolish the snowmen. We also had an adventure or two - my food fairy ended up on her back in the park after slipping on some ice. Luckily she didn't hurt herself. One thing about the weather was how it demonstrated the importance of being neighbourly and encouraging a good community spirit, where people help each other out.

Anyway, I hope your new year has got off to a great start, but spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves, particularly the people of Haiti. Even if we can't be there to help, remember there are other ways to give support.

Be Safe,
